This beautiful old mill nestles in the valley of the Rio Santo on the edge of the village of Saleres and its earth coloured walls blend into the landscape. The main entrance leads into a walled courtyard with small patio to one side of the building. A second old timber door leads into the house itself - a large, spacious L-shaped living area with high ceiling and beamed roof. In one corner there is an open fire place and in the opposite corner is a wood burning stove.

The dining area has a granite table made from some of the original stone from the mill. The fitted kitchen with hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave is on a slightly higher level to the rest of the living space and leads into the office/study. From here the house opens up to a hall with two double bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor and a staircase leading to the first floor. There is a main bedroom with en-suite bathroom and walk in wardrobe, two large double bedrooms and a shared shower room on this lesson. Each bedroom has views over the garden or the courtyard and the river.

The large old door at this side of the house leads to the cobbled patio and beyond to the orchard with a variety of large old trees alongside the river. In the centre of the garden is the swimming pool which has a pergola on one side and is totally enclosed with an iron balustrade - so can be made safe for children. The large studio on the opposite side of the building contains the utility room. It could be extended to create a first floor, self-contained apartment.

The restoration of the mill was done about six years ago and great care was taken to use reclaimed old doors and shutters where possible and to use beams and terracotta tiles in keeping with local tradition and style. Parts of the original mill machinery have been included in the interior, others have been preserved on the site, either in the garden or at the entrance to the building.
