PUBLIC
TRANSPORT
Granada, as in the case of all cities, can be a little bewildering
for those new to the city
.traffic is usually light, but the
one-way streets can pose a problem, especially at rush hours. If you would
prefer to take a bus, the public transport is excellent: frequent, clean
and very reasonable. A brief outline of the timetables can be found below.
There is also an excellent inter city service from Granada bus station.
For further details please contact the Lecrin Valley sl. office. The service between
Granada and Malaga is excellent and it is very easy to catch the bus from
Malaga bus station to the airport.

Buses:
The most frequent bus service to Granada is from Durcal, and, as there
is plenty of parking, it is worth considering using this service as opposed
to the less frequent services from some outlying villages. There is timetable
information at the bus stops.
The bus stop in Durcal is in the Plaza de España, in the centre
of town. This route terminates at the Paseo del Salon close to El Corte
Ingles, and the Puerta Real, so it is very convenient for shopping and
sightseeing. Return journeys begin here.
Mondays to Fridays from Durcal, beginning at 06.30, every 30 minutes until
22.30.
Saturdays, on the hour from 07.00; Sundays at 09.00, 12.00 and 15.00.
Return journeys from Granada follow the same pattern.
Albunuelas:
Departing from the car park at 07.15, 09.30 and 11.00, stopping at Saleres,
Restabal and Melegis, and returning from the Avenida de Jaen in Granada
at 13.00, 15.00 and 19.30. Journey time approximately 1 ½ hours.
In addition to the above, there are also services at 07.15 and 13.40 outside
the Town Hall in Restabal, and at 13.45 from Melegis outside the old soap
factory with large green doors (down the hill, below the designated bus
stop).
From Pinos there are only two daily services at 07.00 and 14.00 from outside
the bank next to the Bar Venecio.
